Join us in promoting women’s rights, economic empowerment, and support for survivors of gender-based violence. Together, we can build a more inclusive and just society.
Established in 2011 by a group of young women who had dropped out of school, the Women Empowerment Program – South Sudan (WEP-SS) was founded with a vision of uniting women and empowering both women and people living with disabilities. Our mission is to address the challenges they face and enhance their quality of life through several key areas:
WEP-SS is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of women and people living with disabilities, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a supportive and empowered community.
We are a women-centered organization dedicated to women’s rights and gender inclusivity. We promote economic empowerment for women through livelihoods and entrepreneurship skills. We also raise awareness about gender-based violence (GBV), provide support to GBV victims, and help them access justice.
Community was named a “Top 25 Best Global Philanthropist” by Barron’s. We beat Oprah. And, Mashable named Women Empowerment Program-South Sudan.
